On 15 July 2020, Raf Casert of the Sydney Morning Herald filed a story headed Apple wins EU court case over $21 billion in claimed taxes, which reported the outcome of the appeal by the Irish Government, stating “Ireland has always been clear that there was no special treatment provided” to the US company” (despite allowing it to report less than 1% of its revenue).
