The ATO has released its updated list of matters currently under consultation. The list is divided into 3 sections: technical, compliance, and administration.
- Under the technical list of matters, the ATO lists the following matters as in progress, including: trusts and anti-avoidance rules, alienation of income through discretionary trust partners, and the application of new transfer pricing laws.
- Under compliance, the ATO indicates that it is still reviewing its governance and tax risk management and the associated review of PS LA 2004/14 (Access to corporate board documents on tax compliance risk).
- Under administration, it lists matters including ATO website issues resolution, 2014 pre-filling report, and changes to technical documents supporting superannuation data and payment standards as matters currently under consultation.
