On Wed 29.3.2017, the ATO released the following Class Rulings:
- Class Ruling CR 2017/19– Fringe benefits tax: Clients of Toyota Fleet Management, whose employees use the DriverDirect E-logbook for car log book and odometer records. The ATO says that the E-logbook created by DriverDirect is a document that satisfies the definition of log book records and odometer records under ss 136(1) of the FBTAA. The Ruling applies from 1 April 2016.
- Class Ruling CR 2017/20– Income tax: employment termination payment – Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services Queensland. The ATO says the incentive payment to be made in accordance with the NDIS Incentives Approach is an employment termination payment. The Ruling applies from 30 March 2017 to 30 June 2020.
