The Assistant Treasurer has announced the appointment of Mr Andrew Mills as a full-time Second Commissioner of Taxation to the ATO for a 7-year period. Mr Mills is currently a director with specialist tax advisory firm Greenwoods & Freehills and is a former president of The Tax Institute. He has extensive knowledge and experience in taxation in both the public and private sectors.

Mr Mills is replacing Bruce Quigley who retired from his position as Second Commissioner, effective from 4 December 2013. “I would like to acknowledge the tremendous contribution made to the ATO by Mr Quigley during his distinguished career in tax administration, and wish him well in his retirement,” said Senator Sinodinos.
