On 23 September 2019, Joanna Mather published an article in the Australian Financial Review, entitled: IOOF, the ‘pub test’ and members’ money.  This is about some of the anatomy and background to APRA’s unfortunate failure to prove that various of IOOF’s officers had failed in their duties as officers of the relevant trustees and ought be disqualified from the industry. As the article says: IOOF boss Chris Kelaher lost his job after his appearance at the Hayne inquiy but a judge has now found he did nothing wrong, in a decision that changes the superannuation law. The AFR also published other articles about this case on 24.9.19 and 26.9.19.
