The Assistant Treasurer has announced the reappointments of Mr Keith James as a part-time member and Deputy Chair of the Board of Taxation for a 2-year period from 1 July 2012 up to and including 30 June 2014 and Mr Anthony (Curt) Rendall and Ms Elizabeth Jameson as part-time members of the Board each for a 2-year period from 1 July 2012 up to and including 30 June 2014.
The Board consists of 10 members. Seven members are appointed by the Treasurer, each for a term of up to 3 years, on the basis of their personal capacity. Mr Bradbury said it is expected that these members will be appointed from within the business and wider community. There are also 3 ex-officio members – the Secretary of The Treasury, the Commissioner of Taxation and the First Parliamentary Counsel.
