On 24 April 2014, the Victorian Treasurer announced that the 2014-15 Victorian Budget, to be handed down on Tue 6.5.2014, will include modest increases to motor vehicle stamp duty and registration to support a boost to road and transport infrastructure across Victoria. The changes are proposed to commence from 1 July 2014. The Victorian State Revenue Office (SRO) has released on its website information in relation to the proposed motor vehicle duty rates, which are subject to the passage of legislation.
