The following Bills have passed the Victorian Legislative Assembly without amendment and have moved to the Legislative Council:
- Duties Amendment (Landholder) Bill 2012 – proposes to amend the Duties Act 2000 (Vic) to give effect to the 2011-12 Victorian Budget proposal to adopt a landholder duty model from 1 July 2012.
- State Taxation Acts Amendment Bill 2012 – among other things, proposes to amend the Duties Act to implement the proposal announced in the 2012-13 Budget to remove the exemption from duty for a grant of any Crown lands by the Crown in right of Victoria. Date of effect: The majority of the amendments are proposed to commence the day after the Bill receives Royal Assent.

Royal Assent Given
The following Victorian Bills received Assent on Wed 27.6.12, after passing all stages without amendment:
- Duties Amendment (Landholder) Bill 2012 – as Act No 38 of 2012. It amended the Duties Act 2000 (Vic) as set out above.
- State Taxation Acts Amendment Bill 2012 – as Act No 42 of 2012. It amended the Duties Act 2000 (Vic) as set out above.
The Victorian State Revenue Office (SRO) issued General Information Bulletin (GEN 1/12) which set out the changes made by the latter of theses Bills to the Duties Act. Date of effect: The majority of the amendments commenced on Thur 28.6.2012.
