The Acting Victorian Premier: James Merlino, has plunged Victoria back into a ‘Stage 4’ restrictions, for 7 days, as a ‘circuit breaker’ – to help stop the spread of the COVID virus (including the even more infectious ‘Indian’ strain). This starts just before midnight, Thursday 27 May 2021, and takes us straight back into the worst restrictions, we endured, during the ‘2nd wave’ last year, including a 5 km travel limit, all but approved businesses/work closed, and with a 5th reason, to leave home – namely to get vaccinated. This has little to do with tax, but seemed important enough, to get the key document out, and a summary of it.
See below for details.
The formal ‘Directions’ made by the Chief Health Officer, under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008, are available on the DHHS website here – https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-restriction-levels-covid-19 . However, I can’t see any of these ‘directions’ that commence tonight (11.509pm Thursday 27.5.2021)
