The Acts and Instruments (Framework Reform) Bill 2014 has been referred to the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 25 November 2014. The Bill seeks to implement a number of the outstanding recommendations of the 2008 Review of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003. It makes a number of other amendments to improve the operation and clarity of legislative frameworks for Commonwealth Acts and instruments.

The Customs Amendment (Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement Implementation) Bill 2014 and the Customs Tariff Amendment (Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement Implementation) Bill 2014 have been referred to the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 27 November 2014.

The Freedom of Information Amendment (New Arrangements) Bill 2014 has been referred to the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 25 November 2014.
